Editorial policy

The standards every RaceFeed story is held to: how we source and check stories, how we stay independent and how we put things right when we get them wrong.

Accuracy and sourcing

We aim to be accurate before we are first. We report what we can verify, say where information comes from and make clear when something is a rumour, a report from another outlet or our own analysis. Results, standings and statistics come from official timing data and are checked against official classifications.

Bylines

Every story carries the name of the person responsible for it, with a link to their author page. Stories show when they were published and, when they have been meaningfully changed, when they were last updated.

Independence and ethics

  • RaceFeed is not affiliated with Formula 1, the FIA or any team.
  • We sometimes accept payment for coverage, but whoever pays has no say over what we write and no approval of the story before it is published. Paid or sponsored content is always clearly labelled.
  • We separate news from opinion and label analysis and comment as such.
  • We give people and teams we report on a fair chance to respond to significant allegations.
  • We protect confidential sources.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it promptly. Minor errors such as typos are corrected without a note. If a correction changes the meaning of a story, we add a note to the story explaining what changed.

To report an error, email [email protected] with a link to the story.
